    EVERSON FAMILY
    EVERSON FAMILY (9)
According to an obit for Elizabeth EVERSON in the 14 Mar 1918 Blair Press, Helen\'s parents, John and Elizabeth, set sail for America on 23 Jun 1858. They were on the ocean for eight weeks. Helen, my great grandmother, was born 19 Sep 1858 in PA. That would mean that Helen was born less than a month after her parent\'s arrival in America. The same obit says that they settled in Oleon, Potter County, where they lived for seven years. (I assume they mean Potter County PA). In 1865 they moved to Tappen Colee, Trempealeau County WI. Helen EVERSON met and married Albert OLIGNY in WI.
Helen\'s parents, John and Elizabeth, moved with their son, Julius, to White Earth, ND in 1907. Elizabeth\'s obit states that she and John had nine children with only three living at the time of her death in 1918. It also mentions daughters, Mrs. Albert \"Olegney\" of Marshfield, WI, and Mrs. John McLure of Toledo, Ohio. They were both at Elizabeth\'s funeral as were \"daughters of Julia Iverson of White Earth, North Dakota.\" I do not know who Julia IVERSON was, and I wonder if Mrs. John McLure is Elizabeth\'s daughter Bertha?
