In the 1900 Miller County AR Census, Marion's grand daughter Bessie EASLEY was living with Marion and his family in Cleveland Twp. Bessie was born February 1899 in Arkansas.

In the 1910 Miller County AR Census, Marion's Daughter Maud FURQUERON was living with him and Martha with her children, Jasper E. and Gracy FURQUERON.

In the 1920 Miller County AR Census, Marion's Grand daughter, Hadgie A. SHEETS was living with him and a wife named "Rachel". Hadgie was my grandmother. Census says Rachel was born in Texas. (I assume Martha died sometime between 1910 and 1920 and Marion remarried?).

According to Arkansas Confederate Pensions Form submitted by Nicey, Jasper's, wife, Jasper died in Battle in Jul 1862 in Cold Water Mississippi.

Jasper married Nicesy Lou CANNON. Nicesy (daughter of Alton CANNON and Margaret PRICE) was born about 1833 in Alabama; died in 1906. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Nicy and her daughter Arminda were living with her son Marion and his family in the 1880 Calhoun County MS Census.

Nicy was living with her daughter, Arminda, and Arminda's husband David in the 1900 Miller County AR Census.

Nicesy, 18, is listed with her grandparents, James and Mary CANNON, in the 1850 Walker County, Alabama Census.

Steven married Mary Catherine WALLS on 22 Dec 1853 in Itawamba County Mississippi. Mary (daughter of James B. WALL and Katherine UNKNOWN) was born between 1837 and 1838 in Georgia; died on 30 Mar 1915 in Kerr County, Texas; was buried in Hunt, Kerr County, Texas. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

OBITUARY from The Kerrville Advance, Kerrville, Texas, Thursday, April 8, 1915:

"Mrs Mary Catherine Young died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ida A. Cannon, on the 29th of March. She had been sick for quite a while.

Deceased ws born in Mississippi on Christmas day and was at the time of her death between 75 and 80 years of age. She leaves seven children, 3 dead and 4 living. Those living are: Will Young of Mississippi, Georgia Knox of Gonzales county, Martha McKenzie of Robert, Ark, and Mrs. Ida A. Cannon of Kerr county. The dead: Miss Sallie Young, California, Jim Young. Her husband has been dead for about 30 years.

Sister Young had been at the time of her death a member of the Missionary Baptist Church about sixty years, a long time indeed, to live a Christian life and work for the Master. But such a record is worth our best consideration, and we should remember that it is ours to live a true church life, as she and others have done, if we will only submit to the Master's will and allow Him to take the lead of our lives and rule and reign therein instead of sin and the devil. It was told the writer by one close related to her that during the 60 years of her church life, that she lived a consistent and devoted life. Sister Young has only left this body of clay to be with her heavenly Father. She has just gone on to await the coming of the host that love the Lord.

To those who weep because of her parting, remember that she can't come back to you, but you, through Christ, can go to her, and in the glory world there is no separation and sorrow.

May God give each of you every needed blessing, and help you to live pure Christian lives is my prayer."
