"OLIGNEY - On February 13, 1938, LYLE, beloved husband of Helen Oligney.
Funeral from his late residence, 516 North Chapel street, on Wednesday morning at 8:15. High Mass at St. Wenceslaus' Church at 9 o'clock. Interment in Holy Redeemer Cemetery".

According to City Of Baltimore Death Certificate, Lyle died of TB.

The 1930 Baltimore City MD Census has Lyle, his wife Helen and children Ruth, Edward, James, Helen and Lyle Junior living with Helen's father Frank FUKA and his wife Sofia.

Lyle's obit in the Stevens Point Daily Journal says the he was in the US Navy for six years, including the World War (WWI) period.

Joseph-Lyle married Helen FUKA on 11 Feb 1938 in St. Wenceslaus Church, Baltimore, Maryland. Helen (daughter of Francisco "Frank" FUKA and Maria "Mary" KALAL) was born in 1899 in 505 N. Chapel St., Baltimore, Maryland; died on 30 Oct 1959 in Baltimore, Maryland; was buried on 03 Nov 1959 in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Baltimore, Maryland. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

"OLIGNEY - On October 30, 1959 HELEN (Nee Fuka) of 7556 Westfield road, beloved wife of the late Lyle Oligney and dear mother of Mrs. Ruth Wayland, Edward, James, Lyle Oligney and Mrs. Helen Ornduff.
Services on Tuesday at 8:15 A.M. at the Cvach Funeral Home, 900 North Chester street. Requlem Mass at St. Wenceslaus Church at 9 A.M. Interment in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Visiting hours 2 until 10 P.M."

According to a copy of the City of Baltimore Death Certificate:

Helen died 30 Oct 1959 at St. Joseph's Hospital. She lived at 7556 Westfield Rd, #22, dob: 19 Feb 1899 in Baltimore Md. Informant was Ruth Wayland 2528 McComas Ave-22.

Helen died of Myosarcoma of the uterus

Joseph Lyle and Helen were re-married in the Catholic Church a few days before Lyle died of TB. Their original marriage date is unknown.

MONAHANS (SC)-Chester Veto Brantley, 70 of Monahans, was pronounced dead on arrival at Ward Memorial Hospital Sunday morning.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Monahans Cemetery under direction of Wilson-Miller Funeral Home.
He was born July 24, 1907 in Novice and had been a resident of Monahans since 1937. He was a retired Texas Electric Service Co. employee, a veteran of World War II and a Baptist. He was married on Aug. 18, 1945 in Monahans.
Survivors include his wife, Effie Brantley, a son, Charles Brantley of Kermit; two daughters, Mrs. Ada Dell McMahan of Grand Prairie and Mrs. Christine Oligney of Las Cruces, N.M.; three brothers, Melvin Brantley of Odessa, E. B. Brantley of Lovington, N.M. and C. D. Brantley of Houston; a sister, Mrs. M.L. Wade of Odessa; five grandchildren and one great grandchild".

Chester married Hadgie Amby SHEETS. Hadgie (daughter of John Flint SHEETS and Ola MCKENZIE) was born on 11 Jan 1911 in Fouke, Miller County, Arkansas; died on 27 Nov 1985 in Houston, Harris County, Texas; was buried in Pyote Cemetery, Ward County, Texas. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Although I cannot find a marriage date to confirm their marriage, the 1930 Stephens Co, TX Census has Hadgie as wife of Veto BRANTLEY living with their daughter Floy C.

Hubert married Helen Marie EVERSON on 25 Dec 1881 in Jackson County, Wisconsin. Helen (daughter of John EVERSON and Elizabeth UNKNOWN) was born on 19 Sep 1858 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; died on 24 May 1950 in Pasadena, Los Angeles County, California; was buried in Mt. The 1930 Census has Helen and Fern in two places. One is Wayne Co, MI, Detroit City, on what looks like June 4th, living with daughter Fern and her husband George FLUTY. The other place she appears is in the 1930 Wood Co, WI Census on April 8th, living with her husband Albert and daughter Fern?

One of Helen's obits has her born 01 Sep 1857 in Harrisburg, PA.

The Baltimore Maryland 1890 Directory has a John W. FUKA, laborer, living at 515 N. Chapel. I wonder if he could be Frank's son or brother??

Etna (daughter of Solomon PARKER and Celia BECKWITH) was born between 17 Dec 1881 and 1882 in Coleman County, Texas; died on 28 Jun 1972 in Throckmorton, Texas; was buried in Breckenridge Cemetery, Stephens County, Texas. One of Aunt Juanita's notes says the "Etna Ada Parker's Grandmother was a Beckwith, Great-Grandmother a WILCOX"

Another note has Ada's mother a Celia Beckwith Parker, but I don't know if the above WILCOX is a maternal or praternal ancestor.
